The Lord showed me in a vision a couple of days ago about people in prison. He showed me a picture of a very large prison where prisoners have been sentenced to serve time for various offences. He said no matter the length of their sentence, each prisoner is allowed a time of visitation from friends and family on specified days and times. When a visit has been booked by friends or family to go and see their loved one, the prison authorities would inform the prisoner to let them know they are due a visitation by a friend or family on a certain day and time.
I began to imagine if I were that person, how excited I would be if I was told someone was coming to visit me in the place of my affliction. I would excitedly look forward to each new day until the day of the visit. My heart would be so lifted at the thought of seeing a loved one walk through the doors of the visiting room with arms outstretched to give me a massive big hug. My expression would be, "Just can't wait!"
The Lord said I should tell you that in the same manner that family and friends go and visit their loved ones in prison, He will visit you. He said your hour of visitation has come.
He said your prison could be a mental prison, it could be physical or it could be spiritual. You don't have to be physically locked up behind bars to be in prison. You could be imprisoned in your mind, you could be imprisoned with sickness in your body or you could be in prison mentally or be spiritually bound. Whatever your prison, the Lord is saying, "I will visit you like I visited Joseph in prison. I will come and bless you and make you fruitful in the land of your affliction."
...“For God has made me fruitful in the land of my affliction." (Genesis 41:52)
Dear reader, what sort of prison are you feeling locked up in? Do you feel sentenced and hemmed in by circumstances of life? Are you feeling locked up that everywhere you turn there is no way out? I certainly feel hemmed in sometimes, but the Spirit of God always pulls me out. I have walked through some dark places in my life and the power of God has brought me out and totally delivered me from the afflictions of the enemy. You might be crying out for help and no one seems to be answering, all you can hear are the echoes of your own voice bouncing back at you. Are you feeling no one cares and you are all alone? You may be surrounded by people yet feel locked up inside. Have you been struggling with particular issues for many years and there is no breakthrough? The Lord says, "I will visit you in prison, I will come in and set you free. I will break the chains and undo the shackles that bind you. I will bring My light into the midst of darkness and set you free. I will open the prison doors like I did for Paul and Silas in Acts 16:
23 And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them into prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely. 24 Having received such a charge, he put them into the inner prison and fastened their feet in the stocks.
25 But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them. 26 Suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken; and immediately all the doors were opened and everyone’s chains were loosed. (Acts 16: 23-26)
My prayer for you today is that God will strengthen you, bless you and make you fruitful in the land of your affliction. I pray that you will come to an understanding that you may not be able to end the pain, but that in the midst of the pain, have a knowing that God is there with you. Jesus had to carry the cross by himself, but God was there with Him knowing that He has already prepared a place of victory for Him. God has prepared a place of victory for you, you are not alone. Jesus had to carry the cross to the place of crucifixion, He was in pain and in a very dark place of sorrow. He was despised, spat at, abandoned, crucified and finally put to death, but on the 3rd day, He rose again! He rose again! He was victorious. I pray that you will rise again. I pray that God will visit you and bring out of your land of affliction in Jesus Name.
"...but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob." (Genesis 50:24)
I pray that the Lord will visit you in this hour. May He bless you, keep you and strengthen you in Jesus Name. Amen.
The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.
