May God Turn Your Disappointments into Victorious Blessings

My prayer for you today is that no weapon formed against you will prosper. The Lord spoke to me and said “Tell my children to pray against arrows of disappointment in their lives.” The enemy is throwing arrows in every direction in these last days. He is throwing arrows of disappointment against our families, against our homes, our marriages, our children, our jobs, our health and our souls. He is throwing arrows against our destiny and every area of our lives. My prayer is that none of us will be caught as a victim of his target.

"No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, And their righteousness is from Me,” says the LORD. (Isaiah 54:17)

An arrow is a missile – a weapon that is forcibly thrown or projected at a target, but is not self propelled. This arrow does not come to you by itself; it is targeted and shot at you by the enemy of your soul, the devil. He is very cunning, deceitful and ruthless. We are to be aware of the enemy’s devices, lest the devil should get advantage of us. We must not allow the enemy to outwit or outsmart us. We should be constantly on our guard against the snares of the enemy. "Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices."
(2 Corinthians 2:11)

An arrow has to be shot from a bow. A bow is a weapon consisting of arrows and the bow is what is used to shoot the arrows at the target. Who is the target the devil is aiming his arrows at and why does he want to take advantage of God’s children? The devil’s target is you and I, all of God’s children because we are so loved by the Almighty God.

The devil’s aim is to deny us of victory and afflict us with fear, anxiety, depression, oppression, failure and sickness of all sorts. The Lord did not say to pray against one arrow of disappointment, but He said pray against “…arrows of disappointment.” Fear, anxiety, depression, oppression, failure, sickness etc. are all arrows that are constantly thrown at us to afflict our souls so that we do not experience the peace and joy of the Lord.

God’s thoughts towards us are of good and not of evil.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 12 Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. 13 And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.” (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

God is thinking about you right now, He wants you to seek Him and talk to Him about all your fears, worries and disappointments. He will listen to you and turn your disappointments around for good. His thoughts are good towards you. May your disappointments today be turned around into an appointment of blessing and victory for your future in Jesus Name.

I pray against every arrow of disappointment in your life, in your home, in your family, in your job, in your business and in all that concerns you. I pray that you will not fall and you will not fail. I pray that you will be the head and not the tail. I pray that you will not fail and that you will prosper in all that you lay your hands to do. I pray that the Lord will disappoint all your enemies and you will be victorious in every aspect of your life. I plead the blood of Jesus against every arrow being thrown at you and I pray that no weapon formed against your mind shall prosper. I decree that you shall live and not die and proclaim the glory of God. I pray that the Lord will deliver your soul from death and your eyes from tears. I pray that God will keep your feet from falling and that He will deal bountifully with you.

If you are anxious and afraid, I pray that the Lord will loose you from every bondage and every trouble that so beset you. I pray the Lord will keep you strong and deliver you in times of trouble. I pray that He will take hold of shield and buckler and come to your aid. May every obstacle and stumbling block be removed from your way in Jesus Name.

I pray that when you are in distress and feel disappointed, and you call upon the Lord, that the Lord will set you in a broad place. If you are afraid and anxious, I pray that the Lord will remove all anxiety and fear from you.

I encourage you to confess this prayer now and speak it out loud. Don’t just say it in your heart, speak it with your mouth: “The LORD is on my side, I will not fear.” I want you to confess this prayer 3 times.  Now lets do it again,

“The LORD is on my side, I will not fear.”

“The LORD is on my side, I will not fear.”

“The LORD is on my side, I will not fear.”

Anytime you feel anxious, worried or afraid, make this prayer your confession.

May the LORD bless you and keep you and cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace in the midst of disappointment. May He turn all your disappointments into victorious blessings in Jesus Name, Amen.

May the Steadfast Love of the LORD Never Depart from You

My prayer for you today is in the words of Isaiah 54:10,

“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you."

I pray that the steadfast unchanging love of God will not depart from you and your family. No matter what you may go through, His love for you is not removed by trials or tribulations; His love is from everlasting to everlasting. He does not forsake or abandon His own, God will never forsake or abandon you. These are not my own words in Isaiah 54, these are God's own words, spoken through the prophet Isaiah to His children.  You are His child and He is speaking His Words to you to encourage you. You mean a lot to Him believe it or not.  I am making a statement of fact.

I pray today, if you feel forsaken or abandoned by man that you will know God cares about you and has compassion on you. May the LORD perfect everything that concerns you. May He remember you and not forget you the work of His hands. May His covenant of peace never be removed from you and your household and may you know and experience His peace in all aspects of your life. God’s love for you is steadfast, fixed, unchanging, firmly loyal and constant.

I pray that you will be established in righteousness. May oppression be far from you in your home, in your marriage, in your job or in any other situation, may it be far from you in Jesus Name. Be not afraid; only believe that all things are possible for them who believe and put their trust in God. I encourage you to put your trust in God.  Whatever is bringing fear into your life is subject to the Word of God; for fear is not from God. The Word of God can change any situation. I encourage you to have faith, for God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. I break the power and the grip of fear over your life and I pronounce and prophesy peace into your life now in Jesus Name.

Fear is an evil spirit, it has no place in your life. You must reject fear and speak peace into your life.
2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
If you are feeling afraid, pray this prayer and confess it out loud:

“God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind, I reject you fear and cast you out of my life now in Jesus Name.”
(Repeat 3 times)

Pray this prayer with power and authority any time you are feeling afraid and repeat it as many times as possible until you are no longer feeling afraid. There is power in confessing the Word of God. The Word of God can change anything.

May you be established in righteousness; may oppression be far from you; you shall not fear; and from terror, it shall not come near you or your family in Jesus Name.

Finally, I pray according to Phillipians 4:7, that the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your heart and mind through Christ Jesus.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

He who is for you cannot be against you. Remember, you are not forgotten.  God bless you today and everyday.

You are the Apple of My Eye, The Treasure in My Heart

1 John 4:16 (27 kb)
Whilst I was in prayer, the Lord spoke to me about you, the one reading this blog right now.  The Lord spoke to me and asked me to let you know you are precious. He says He really appreciates and loves you for who you are. You are not worthless; you are the apple of His eye and the work of His hands. God is saying to you, “You are the apple of my eye, the treasure in my heart.”
The Bible states, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:20-22) In the sight of God you are His treasure, and where His treasure is, there His heart is also. His heart is with you, yes, with you His treasure.

God wants you to know you are deep in the core of his heart and he is watching over you daily. His thoughts are with you. They are thoughts of good and not of evil.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.” (Jeremiah 29:11, 12)

You may not know or understand it, but He wants me to reassure you that He is watching over you daily. You are the work of His hands, His own treasure. If you can put your trust in Him, you will see a transformation in your life. His hands are wide open towards you right now, He is waiting to embrace you, wanting to heal and set you free. If you are feeling alone, abandoned like there is no one to help, the Bible states that God is our helper, He is the glory and the lifter of your head.

“And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked, And save them, Because they trust in Him. (Psalm 37:40)

Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, And He shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:5)

In times of weakness, He is our strength, in times of lack, He is our Provider, in times of war, trials and tribulations, He is our peace. The Bible says, if my mother and my father forsake me, the Lord will bring me out and take care of me. God is ready to take care of you because you are His treasure.

“When my father and my mother forsake me, Then the LORD will take care of me.” (Psalm 27:10)

Do you feel forsaken and betrayed by others? Are you feeling low in yourself and don’t know where to turn? Thus says the Lord to you today,

“Dear child, I love you with an everlasting love. You are the apple of my eye and the treasure in my heart. I created you for a purpose; I predestined you and justified you. Don’t beat yourself up. I know you are not perfect. I am not looking for perfect people, I am looking for helpless people, hurt and broken people, disappointed and abandoned people, a people with no hope. These are the people at the core of My heart. I sent my Son, Jesus, to die for this reason, not to come for the righteous, but for the unrighteous. So dear child, you don’t have to be perfect to come to me. Just come as you are and I will help you, run to me and I will embrace you, I will heal you, I will deliver you from all your afflictions and will restore you. I am the Bread of life; whoever comes to me will hunger no more. I am the river of living waters, come to me and you will thirst no more.

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.” (John 6:34-36)

I want you to bear fruit like the apple tree, this is why I want to nurture you, water you and restore you. I am always here for you. Have I not said in my Word that I will never leave nor forsake you? Put your trust in me and I will not let you down. You are the treasure in my heart and I love you dearly.”

“For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” (Hebrews 13:5)

My prayer for you today is that you will learn to put your trust wholly on God. He never disappoints His own. I can assure you, I have been through a lot of pain in my life, I have had many occasions where I did not know where the answer to my problems would come from, but as I cried out to the Lord and asked for His help, He answered me time and time again. I have so grown in Him now that I never doubt His ability anymore. I never doubt that He will let me down, I never doubt whether He would be able to provide for my needs. Now, I can assuredly say that I know Him, I know now that He is not a man that He should lie or the son of man that He should repent. He has never betrayed me or let me down. This is because I have learnt to lean on Him and put my trust in Him no matter what I may go through.

“The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing.” (Psalm 34:10)

Troubles still come to me daily and challenges will always be there, but I certainly know now that He is my anchor and I can rest in Him. He is the One that helps me to overcome daily.

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

He has taught me to take one day at a time and not worry about what I am going to eat or what I am going to wear for He already knows that I have need of these things. He always makes provision for me and makes a way for me where there seems to be no way. I pray that you will come to the saving knowledge and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and understand that you are His own and He will always be there for you, knowing this, that you are the apple of His eye and the treasure in His heart. I pray that His mercy will surround you and that you will put your trust in Him now and evermore.

"Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand." (Isaiah 41:10)

Know you not, that you are the apple of God’s eye and the treasure in His heart? Well, if you didn’t know, this is what you are in His eyes. He loves you so much! Take a new leaf today and start trusting in Him. May you bear much fruit in your life and may the countenance of His glorious Light shine upon you and give you peace in these troubled times. I shall continue to remember all of you my blog readers in my prayers.  God bless you abundantly and thank you for taking the time to read this blog.

Prayer in times of Disappointment

Disappointment is an inevitable fact of life.  For as long as we are alive, there will be highs and lows, ups and downs, laughter and weeping, happiness and sadness.  Our lives can sometimes feel like a roller coaster ride.    All of us battle feelings of disappointment when life goes wrong.  When our dreams become shattered and our hope and expectation fails, disappointment is the natural result.  Pain is inevitable.  Why?  Because we live in this world and as long as we are in this world, disappointments will come.

A few years ago, I had gone through a couple of bereavements in my family.  First of all my loving dad passed away, and then my brother-in-law died a few years later.  I was distraught, hurt and disappointed.  My world shattered at such great loss.  I was totally distraught, never thinking I would recover from such depth of pain.  My heart ached of pain, loss and grief.  The future for me at that time looked bleak...my world was shattered.  Friends and family did their best to bring some form of consolation, but there was a great big hole in my heart and only one person could heal it...God.  I knew if the disappointment was left to pile up, it would lead to discouragement, and then to despair.  I had to find a way of pouring out my pain, as the disappointment was too heavy a burden to bear.  It took some time for me to heal, I cried myself to sleep most of the time, my eyes hurt, as my heart ached of pain, but I knew if I didn't do anything about the situation and pour out my heart, I would spiral into a deep, dark hole of depression.

God gave me the strength and courage to pick myself up and keep moving on, though not easy, I gradually picked myself up.  I persevered in the face of adversity and moved on, not forgetting my loved ones who had passed on to glory, but fondly remembering them and thanking God for giving me the privilege of knowing such wonderful people.  Looking back now, I can thank God for pulling me through by His power and grace.

What are you going through right now?  Is it disappointment, hurt, hopelessness, bereavement, heartache and pain?  I think it is time to start unburdening yourself and handing over your pain to the one who can handle it and bring healing to your soul.  You must hand over the pain to someone who is capable of handling it, somebody who is willing to help, someone you can trust and empty out your heart to.  If you look in the Psalms, King David shared a lot of his hurts, grievances and pain.  He poured out his heart to God.  God listens and is still listening to our heart’s cries today.  He is the God of yesterday, today and forever.  He never changes.  Cry out to Him today, he will listen to your heart’s cries and answer.  Call to Him like King David did in Psalm 121:1-8,

I will lift up my eyes to the hills— From whence comes my help?
My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.
He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.
Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord is your keeper; The Lord is your shade at your right hand.
The sun shall not strike you by day, Nor the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul.
The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in
From this time forth, and even forevermore.

My prayer for you today is that you will not keep bitterness inside and harbour hurts and grievances, but that you will empty out your heart to God and ask Him to come and set you free and heal your pain.  I pray that God will turn your disappointments into an appointment for blessing.  I pray that He will heal your pain and set you free from any affliction or pain you might be going through.  I pray that the Lord will be your strength in difficult times, that He will be your peace in the midst of the storm.  I pray that in your times of weakness, the Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth will increase your strength.  I pray that you will hear the voice of the Lord speaking to you through Isaiah 41:10,

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,

I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

I pray that you will let go of the past, so that you can move on to a new beginning.  Forgive those who have hurt you, forgive yourself, forgive your neighbours, your brother or your sister.  Forgive and let go.  Forgive your friends, your relatives, your colleagues and all those who have hurt you.  You must forgive and let go, otherwise you will not be able to experience the new beginning God has in store for you.  Forgiveness is a choice, God requires it of us.  Our prayers cannot be answered if we are harbouring grievances and bitterness in our hearts.  We must let go and let God, so that healing can take place.  I believe the Lord is speaking to you right now through Isaiah 43:18-19,

“Do not remember the former things,
Nor consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing,
Now it shall spring forth;

Shall you not know it?
I will even make a road in the wilderness

And rivers in the desert.”

And then He goes on to say in Isaiah 45:2-3,

“I will go before you,
And make the crooked places straight;

I will break in pieces the gates of bronze,
And cut the bars of iron.

I will give you the treasures of darkness,
And hidden riches of secret places,

That you may know that I, the LORD
who call you by your name,

Am the God of Israel."

May God restore your soul and lead you in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.  May your cry come before the Lord and may He deliver you according to His word.  May the Lord revive you according to His lovingkindness.  May He keep you in all your ways and cause His angels to keep watch over you.  May the angels of the Lord bear you up, lest you dash your foot against a stone.  May God preserve your soul and deliver you out of the hand of the wicked.  May you never be put to shame.  May the Lord be your strong refuge and fill your mouth with praise.  May He not be far from you and hear your heart’s cries and come to your aid.  May the Lord be your refuge and your strength, a very present help in times of trouble, therefore, your heart will not fear.  May God turn every disappointment into a blessing for you.  If you are ill, may the Lord sustain you and strengthen you.  May God preserve you and keep you alive.  May you be blessed in all that you do.  May the Lord be merciful to you and raise you up from your bed of affliction.  May His lovingkindness and truth continually preserve you.  May He never withhold His tender mercies from you and your loved ones.  May the Lord redeem your soul and be your help and your shield.

Finally, I pray that you will be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season.  May your leaf also not wither and whatever you do shall prosper.  May the Lord cause His face to shine upon you and give you peace in Jesus Name.  Amen.

Have peace, God is with you...and smile :-)

May You Stay Strong, Hang In There, Don't Give Up

Why am I here?

One question I find people asking a lot of is wanting to know why they are here on earth and what their purpose is in this life.  I wonder if this might be the same question you are asking right now?  Why am I here, where am I going, and what is my purpose and destination in life?  First of all, I would like to encourage you that you are not alone.  A million and one people are also asking the same question right now.
Perhaps you need some prayer at this time and you don’t have anyone to turn to.  Perhaps you are feeling low and you are thinking the best way out is to end it all.

God is thinking of you
At this moment, I would like you to know that God is thinking about you and is concerned about you.  That is the reason why you are reading this blog right now.  He is saying to you, “My son, my daughter, you may not know me or have any relationship with me, but I know you and I want to have a relationship with you.  You are the work of my hands.  I love you and I care about you.  Will you give me a chance and let me in?  I created you and I have been waiting all these years for you to turn to me.  Like the prodigal son who left his father, his family and home and took all his possessions to go and live another life somewhere else, but soon discovered that what he thought would be a good life ended up badly.  Throughout this time, his father waited patiently in hope and in the knowledge that one day his son would come back home.  His arms of love remained open towards his prodigal son waiting for that wonderful day.  The father did not give up on his son because he loved him dearly.  The prodigal son had his own will and went his own way.  After a while, he became broke, homeless and penniless.  He was hungry and ended up eating the food of pigs and therefore decided to go back home to his father.  When he went back home, his father welcomed him with open arms and celebrated and rejoiced over him.”

Will you come back home?

“In the same manner, I am asking you, will you come back home?  Come back to Me your Heavenly Father, I am waiting to help you and strengthen you in your weakness.  I want to walk and talk with you.  I don’t want you to give up on life, I don’t want you to commit suicide or feel isolated.  I want you to live and fulfil destiny.  I want you to know that you are not alone and I do not wish you any evil.  My thoughts towards you are of good and not of evil to bring you to an expected end.”
Take courage, hang in there, don't give up

Dear reader and fellow sojourner, this is what I feel that God is saying to you and I would like to support you in prayer today.  I want you to take courage and be strong, take courage and hang in there, take courage and don’t give up hope.  You are not an error; you were created for a purpose.  You are not a mistake; there is a reason why you are here.  You are not a failure; this is just another season of your life that will soon pass.  The storm may be raging right now and you might feel like a lonely sailor in the open sea of life with no one to come to your rescue.  Deep in your heart you may not really want to give up, but the raging storm is persistent and the wind of turbulence is so strong that you feel like letting go.  I pray that you will not give up now, you’ve come too far.  I pray that God will strengthen you and uphold you with His righteous right hand.

My prayer for you

My prayer for you today is that you will hang in there and not give up.  I pray that the Almighty God will shine a ray of hope towards you and reach out to you as you cry to Him for help.  I pray the Angels of the Most High God will come to your aid and assist you in whatever you might be struggling with.  I pray that God will come to your aid and send his Angels to help you in your home and give you peace.  I pray that the Spirit of God will deliver you from all of your afflictions, physically, mentally and emotionally.  I pray that where there is turbulence in your life that the Almighty God will send His peace your way.  I pray that the peace of God that passes all understanding will guide and guard your heart in Christ Jesus.  I pray that your feelings of hopelessness and worthlessness will be driven away by the Holy Spirit and that you will be strengthened in your inner man so that you are able to face tomorrow.  I pray that you will learn to take one day at a time and let today take care of itself.  Today will pass away, tomorrow is another day.  I pray that if you have lost your job, your family or going through adversity, that Almighty God will open new doors of opportunity for you.  I pray that your faith will not fail and that you will open your heart to God so that He can heal you.  I pray that God will bring genuine friends and people your way.  People who are caring, loving and will be supportive towards you at home, at work and everywhere you go.

Finally, may you be like a tree planted by the streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither.  May whatever you do prosper.  May your family prosper, may you prosper in your job and may all that you lay your hands on turn out for good.

Remember, this is another season in your life.  It will soon pass.       Hang in there, don't give up, this too shall pass.

May you be able to say, "It Is Well"

Happy New Year! I am so excited about what the Lord is going to do this year.

Although the current world climate is not good, I’ve got good news for you.  The Lord says it is going to be well with His own! Are you on the Lord’s side? If your answer is yes, then it is going to be well with you, it is going to be well with your family, your children and all that concerns you. Your situation might be saying something different, but I assure you that the word of the Lord is forever sure. Are you daily calling upon the Lord and making sure you put Him first in everything you do? If you are, then it is going to be well with you. Are you in distress? Have you called upon the Name of the Lord and asked Him for help? If you’ve called to Him and asked for His help, He will surely not deny you. He never denies His own.  When you call upon His Name, He will answer you and make sure it is well with you.

“I called on the LORD in distress; The LORD answered me and set me in a broad place. The LORD is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:5-6 NKJV)

If you are on the Lord’s side you have nothing to fear, why, because the Lord is also on your side! If your confidence is in the Lord and you put your trust in Him and commit all your ways to Him, then surely it is going to be well with you. Have faith, it is going to be well with you!

“And those who know Your name will put their trust in You;
For You, LORD, have not forsaken those who seek You.” (Psalm 9:10 NKJV)

My prayer for you is that you will put your trust in God in these difficult times. I pray that you will not fear or be anxious for anything. I pray that you will not lean on your own understanding or put your trust in man, but that you will put your absolute trust in the everlasting King of kings. With Christ on our side we have no reason to fear anything in this world. I pray this year that you will not allow fear to rule your will or emotions, but instead, allow the peace of God to rule your heart and mind.

And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful. (Colossians 3:15 NKJV)

Of a certainty, we will not all live our lives without facing any troubles, but Jesus reassures us in the word of God to take heart,

“These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” (John 16: 33 NKJV)

I pray in the midst of being confronted with major difficulties in your life that you will not allow your heart and mind to fill up with fear, but that you will trust firmly in the Lord, standing steadfastly on His word and being confident that you will not be forsaken. I encourage you to read the word of God regularly and pray without ceasing. Begin confessing God’s word everyday, this will build up your faith in Him. Faith is the opposite of fear. Faith is believing what God says, fear is believing what the devil says. I encourage you to have faith, as faith is the key to overcoming fear.

This year the world will face even more challenges, but the Lord says I should reassure you that it will be well with you. You are His own and He will never leave you nor forsake you. I want you to be able answer like the Shunammite woman answered when Elisha asked her in 2 Kings,

“‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?’”
And she answered, “It is well.” (2 Kings 4:26) (Read vs 8-37 in context)

My prayer for you this year is that you will answer and say, “It is well”. In spite of the circumstances you will say, “It is well”. When you are afraid you will say, “It is well”. No matter what you may go through, you will say “It is well”. In spite of the economy you will say, “It is well!

No matter what, the Lord has spoken, “It is well, it is well, it is well!” It is well with your soul. I pray that you will confess and agree with the word of God that it is well, agree with the Spirit of God that it is well, agree with the Hosts of heaven that it is well, and it shall surely be well with you. God bless you as you make this confession yours. In the words of Frederick W. Cropp, “There is much in the world to make us afraid. There is much more in our faith to make us unafraid.” Fear not, only believe.
