May the LORD heed the voice of your cry

When the family breaks down, almost every aspect of life breaks down. Relationships break down, friendships breakdown, homes break down and nothing seems to come together. God created family to love, care, nurture, guide and support us. He created family to always be there for us. In so many families, this is not so. Many have been abused, despised and left to suffer. Family is important to God, your family is important to God, YOU are important to God. He loves you and will not leave you forsaken. Even though man may have left you forsaken, God will not leave you forsaken if only you put your trust in Him. He wants to help and is always there in times of need, but can we trust Him enough to believe that He can deliver?

If your home is broken or is breaking down and you don’t know what to do, I pray that God will be there for you to heal and set you free from pain, anger, frustration, hopelessness, worthlessness, insecurity, loneliness and low self esteem. I pray that He will deliver you from depression, oppression and bondage to sin, and when you cry out to Him, He will hear you and deliver you. “I cried to the LORD with my voice, And He heard me from His holy hill.” (Psalm 3:4). I pray that you will open up to God and be honest and admit that you need His help, His love, His guidance and support. You need Him to be a father to you where your father was never there, you need Him to hold you up and sustain you in times of trouble. You need to feel His presence around you. Cry to the Lord and He will hear you and answer you. Make this your prayer:

1 Give ear to my words, O LORD,

Consider my meditation.
2 Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
3 My voice You shall hear in the morning, O LORD;
In the morning I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.

For those who grew up in a loving, caring and supportive family environment, I pray that you will be able to share your love with others and be supportive to those who do not have what you have. The Bible commands us to give and it shall be given unto us. I pray that as you give of the love invested in you, God will bless you and your family more and more and use you as an instrument of His love and a vessel of honour. I pray that you will not be found wanting emotionally, materially or mentally. I pray that all will be well with you and yours and in all that you do you will prosper. I pray that God will be a shield to your family and the glory and lifter up of your head.

If you have been abused and despised, I pray that God will be your healer and set you free from the bondage of pain and despair. He cares for you, I know He does. May God be with you at all times and hold your hands through this difficult walk of life and help you in all things at all times. I pray that He will restore you and settle your mind and make you whole again. God bless you as you make the following Psalm your prayer and daily confession:

Psalm 27: 1, 3, 5, 7-11
1 The LORD is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?

3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

8 When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, LORD, I will seek.”

9 Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.

10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the LORD will take care of me.

11 Teach me Your way, O LORD,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
